FRIDAY AFTERNOON BLAST

THE STORY BEHIND THE CD ...
The three of us would get together regularly in Paul's basement studio. Paul played bass, mandolin, electric and acoustic guitar and keyboards. This compilation is the result of our endeavours with some of my favourite covers.

THE BLU TURTLE SESSIONS

THE STORY BEHIND THE CD ...
I could not give up writing and recording, so Paul McKeracher and I, the core members of the band, teamed up with the Cupcakes, Pam Davies and Michelle Hart, on harmony vocals to record this album which I love. The Cupcakes make it. It was recorded live off the floor at Blu Turtle Studio in Elora by Tom Althouse in a one day session. I am a firm believer in being prepared before entering a recording studio.

THE STORY BEHIND THE CD ...
As the name implies, this was to be my final album. It was recorded in Terry Golletz' home studio with musical friends pitching in. Unfortunately, the band for some time was not getting along. A conflict of personalities forced me to call it a day a few months after we had finished recording.

I USED TO WORK

THE STORY BEHIND THE CD ...
I had helped out the producer of my self titled album and later worked out a deal to cover the cost of recording this album. I had lots more songs, so It worked out well. After several remote recoding sessions, I had my third album on the heals of unexpectedly retiring early.

THE STORY BEHIND THE CD ...
I had new songs and a desire to go all out. This album is the result. Some excellent talent backing me on here.

WHEN THE WINE RUNS THE SHOW

THE STORY BEHIND THE CD ...
My first album was like an overdue baby, the best of my first songs. When I listened nineteen years later, I recalled how it was accomplished. Orville Heyne, a vocal instructor who taught me song writing for two semesters at Humber College, was the producer. All of the players were music students at the college. We had one rehearsal on a Friday evening with charts. They had never heard my songs before. The next night we met again, then the band and Orville, who also plays piano, set up on the Humber College stage while I set up with the engineer and headphones in the upper sound booth. The talent was beyond my expectation. Possibly my favourite album.
